Seven Social Sins – Sette Peccati Digitali, by Riccardo Milanesi, Italy, Smart Series
Seventh Heaven is the name of a Whatsapp group of seven friends. Three of them face tragedies related to their obsessive use of the web. Their social media “obsessions” seem to typify three of the Seven Deadly Sins. They will soon find out that all these incidents were plotted by a maniac that has decided to punish them for their 7 digital sins.

Four robbers take refuge in a warehouse, after a heist gone bad at Twinky Doo’s Magic World, a theme park for families. The Police has surrounded the place, but the real threat is not outside. A drama horror web series, but also an auteur project: a story about the lost and the losers, a political statement about the dark side of capitalism.

Michael’s Maks is a new Virtual Reality series. In the Pilot, the user is in the shoes of an actor working on a set of a virtual reality movie in Venice. He is in crisis with his identity, so his actor Coach Michael Margotta is called on the set to help hime. Michael starts to work with the actor through very sophisticated techniques. The actor’s present perception starts to be confused and mixed with different realities.

The video library of the Torino Short Film Market offers some hundreds of short films, selected by Massimiliano Nardulli and Enrico Vannucci during the course of the year with this event in mind. The selection was geared towards products which could best meet the expectations of market operators who have been invited and are present here.

Our video library, in addition to being an in-house research engine through which users can carry out personalized research, provides various theme programs compiled by art directors, which last – about one hour and a half – like a quality short films festival but also represent products which suit other platforms and media. Lastly, our video library hosts and promotes the most up-to-date catalogues of various European and international distributors.

The Torino Short Film Market will be held from November 29th to December 1^st in three different locations in Torino: the Circolo dei Lettori, the Centro di Produzione Rai and the Centro Congressi Torino Incontra.

Circolo dei Lettori | Via Bogino, 9

Situated in Palazzo Graneri della Roccia, on the first floor, the Circolo dei Lettori will be the main venue location of the Torino Short Film Market 2017. All programmed events will take place here, along with the showcase of virtual reality and dinners exclusively for invited guests. An area will be dedicated to one-to-one meetings for operators. The Piemonte Lounge, managed by Film Commission Torino Piemonte and Regione Piemonte at the Circolo, will be open to accredited guests to supply information on the local production world and on the art heritage of the region and to foster business meetings in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Located five minutes on foot from the Circolo dei Lettori and a couple of minutes from the Museo Nazionale del Cinema, the Centro di Produzione Rai di Torino this year will host the:

The Massimo is the Museo Nazionale del Cinema movie theatre; it is one of the locations of the Torino Film Festival and where “All You Need is Short” screenings will be held; the program is curated by the Torino Short Film Market in collaboration with and part of the Torino Film Festival.
