Pitch Your Fest!

Pitch Your Fest! is a pitch session dedicated to representatives of festivals programming short films. This is the first and only pitching session in the world dedicated exclusively to festivals. Nowadays, though there are countless short film festivals — tens of thousands really — only a few films manage to be selected in more than two hundred events each year In the vast majority of cases, it is still difficult for filmmakers, producers and distributors to find their way and the right spot for their work in such a complicated and expanded festival network.

Selected participants will have five minutes to pitch their project to an audience of film professionals. Following the pitch session, participants will attend a series of one-to-one meetings with industry professionals scheduled by the TSFM team. Pitch Your Fest! is exclusively dedicated to organisers of festivals featuring short film contents aiming to promote their events. A diversified audience of cinema professionals — directors, producers, distributors, other festival representatives and film institutions — will provide feedback to the organisers about their festival.

Awards
A jury of three industry professionals will award a developing grant of € 500,- to the best project.

Moreover, When East Meets West and MIDPOINT Institute will award one of the five pitchers. The award consists of an online accreditation to WEMW 2022 full programme, aimed at taking part in the MIDPOINT showcase particularly.
