TSFM XR Interactive Corner & I ❤ French XR Showcase

The TSFM XR Interactive Corner showcases a selection of XR interactive content. The films in this selection are eligible for the RAI Cinema Channel VR Award.

I ❤ French XR Immersive Showcase presents a selection of the most applauded French XR experiences of recent years. The showcase is curated in collaboration with Diversion Cinema and presented with the support of UniFrance.

XR Content is a market showcase dedicated to XR immersive or interactive projects. The TSFM XR interactive corner and  I ❤ French XR immersive showcase can be visited from December 2nd to 4th (from 9.30AM to 6.30PM) at the Museo Nazionale del Cinema.

Spanning from high-end animation to documentary, from unscripted narrative interactive experiences to live-action performances, extended reality content confirms to be an essential part of contemporary creative cinema. Projects showcased during Torino Short Film Market volume 6 stem from sixteen different countries, including Italy, France, Brasil, United States, Japan, Indonesia, Croatia, Taiwan, Canada and Israel. The XR films mix technology with visual and spatial experimentation, bordering with gaming and representing a wide spectrum of immersive content.

Pushed by a fundamental joint effort among institutions to increase the content accessibility, audiences for XR Content are growing bigger and faster — both from within and outside the film industry. The TSFM XR Content programme arose within that context, presenting alongside the market showcase also the special programme I ❤ French XR, which includes some among the most applauded French XR experiences of recent years, curated in collaboration with Diversion cinema and presented with the support of UniFrance. For more than seventy years, UniFrance has been representing and supporting the French film industry. UniFrance also promotes immersive projects and creators internationally.

The I ❤ French XR and TSFM XR interactive corner, also featuring MEET Digital Cultural Center of Milan as content partner, will be hosted at the CineVR Rooms of Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino, accessible by presenting an entry ticket to the Museum and the TSFM accreditation. All of the XR Content showcased projects will also be available online as part of the TSFM Video-Library, exclusively to the TSFM accredited professionals.

RAI Cinema — which is actively presiding the immersive content market by both boosting the Italian creators internationally and strengthening the national virtual space by supporting production, audience development, literacy, research and distribution — will award one of the XR showcased projects with an exclusive acquisition for the Italian territory on RAI Cinema Channel VR App, available on App Store, Play Store and Oculus.
