The 3rd Torino Short Film Market to be Presented in Cannes
Italian Pavilion, Hotel Majestic Barrière
Saturday May 12th at 12:30
On Saturday May 12th at 12:30, during the 71st Cannes Film Festival, the upcoming edition of the Torino Short Film Market will be presented at the Italian Pavilion. The TSFM, now in its third year, will take place November 22nd to 25th 2018. Organized by the Centro Nazionale del Cortometraggio, the TSFM is Italy’s main professional venue for shorts. The 2017 edition drew 400 accredited professionals from 36 countries. They attended pitching sessions and panels, and took part in meetings with leading international experts in the field. In 2018, the Torino Short Film Market will be extended for another day, and follow a similar format to its previous editions, with a focus on discovering and promoting young talent, developing production projects, buying and selling works, and taking a look at new technologies. This third edition will include numerous innovations, enhancing the allure of the TSFM in the Italian and international scene. The Torino Short Film Market is a unique professional opportunity for producers, distributors and filmmakers, whether from Italy or elsewhere, due to the large number of guests at each edition, and to how the market-framework facilitates interchange.
The presentation of the 3rd TSFM will feature Roberto Cicutto, president and managing director of the Istituto Luce-Cinecittà, supporter of the market as of this year; Paolo Tenna, managing director of the FIP-Film Investimenti Piemonte; Paolo Manera, director of the Film Commission Torino Piemonte, supporter of the market since its first edition; Enrico Vannucci, program manager of the TSFM; Jacopo Chessa, director of the Torino Short Film Market.
The presentation will be followed by an aperitif offered by the Torino Short Film Market!
