What is it?

The short film call aims to collect content for Torino Short Film Market Vo 6 online Video-Library and onsite and online Market Screenings. 

TSFM Video-Library is a tool for promoting recently completed short film productions to an audience of professionals. TSFM Video-Library will feature Curated Programmes, selected by TSFM programmers, alongside Guest Programmes, curated by partners. All submitted films, although not featured in any Curated or Guest Programme, will be anyway part of TSFM Video-Library and available to be searched and watched by users.

TSFM Market Screenings are a series of industry screenings aimed at promoting recently completed short film productions to an audience of professionals. TSFM Market Screenings will feature Curated Programmes, selected by TSFM programmers, alongside Guest Programmes, curated by partners. 

Please note that the release status of films featured in both TSFM Video-Library and TSFM Market Screenings is not modified since both are considered closed screenings.

 

Who is it for?

 

The short film call is dedicated exclusively to filmmakers aiming to promote their short films to a diversified audience of cinema professionals -  buyers, festival representatives, directors, producers, and film institutions.

Please note that distribution companies aiming to promote their distribution catalogue MUST apply to Distributors Meet Buyers.

 

When is it scheduled?

 

TSFM Video-Library will be available from Wednesday December 1st 2021 until Wednesday June 1st 2022 to all Torino Short Film Market accredited professionals exclusively. 

TSFM Market Screenings are scheduled from Wednesday December 1st 2021 to Saturday December 4th 2021 during Torino Short Film Market Vol 6.

 

Where is it?

 

TSFM Video-Library will be available online at tsfm.filmchief.com.

TSFM Market Screenings will be available online at tsfm.filmchief.com and are scheduled to take place in Torino, Italy. 

Please note that due to the ongoing pandemic, in order to comply with public health safety measures the location might be different. Furthermore, if required by the local safety health institutions, TSFM Market Screenings might be moved entirely online. Torino Short Film Market team will inform prospective participants of any change of location that may occur as soon as any new information will be available.

 

How do I apply?

In order to submit a film, applicants are required to:

  • Register and sign in at tsfm.filmchief.com (If applicants have already been accredited to Torino Short Film Market from 2017 on, username and password remain the same and they can be used to sign in. In case of lost credentials, these can be retrieved directly on the website) 
  • Submit a fully filled online entry form, accessible at this link

Mandatory regulations

  • Submitted short films should NOT EXCEED 59 minutes in length.
  • Submitted short films should have been EXCLUSIVELY completed in 2020 or 2021.
  • Submitted short films MUST have embedded English subtitles if the film is spoken in a language other than English.
  • Submitted short films MUST be provided as a password protected Vimeo link. Please note that changing the Vimeo link password will prevent the short film to be seen on TSFM Video-Library.

When is the deadline for submissions?

There are several deadlines for submitting a complete application to the short films call.

The early bird deadline is scheduled on Wednesday March 31st 2021 at 23:59 CEST (11:59 pm CEST)

The regular deadline is scheduled on Wednesday September 15th 2021 at 23:59 CEST (11:59 pm CEST)

How much does it cost?

The submission fee to the short films call varies according to the chosen deadline for submitting a complete application.

The early bird deadline fee amounts to 10,00 €.

The regular deadline fee amounts to 20,00 €.

The sum is payable at the end of the submission process via Paypal only.

When will applicants be notified of the selection results?

 

All films submitted will be included in the TSFM Video-Library. 

Selected films will be featured in the Curated Programmes of TSFM Video-Library and/or in TSFM Market Screenings. 

Only applicants selected for TSFM Curated Programmes and/or TSFM Market Screenings will receive a selection notice via email by Monday November 15th 2021.

 

In case of selection is participation mandatory?

No. Filmmakers of films selected for TSFM Curated Programmes and/or TSFM Market Screenings are not required to come to Torino. If interested Torino Short Film Market will provide a free accreditation to a single representative for each film. Travel and lodging costs will not be covered or reimbursed.
