After a successful first edition, the international training workshop Word-Frame is bound to expand its horizons in 2021. TSFM Word-Frame happens over a series of workshops, both set in Italy and in several different European countries. First of which will take place in Valle d’Aosta from 26th—30th of July. A final, conclusive workshop will be held on-site during Torino Short Film Market Volume 6 in December.
TSFM Word-Frame is an intensive workshop aimed at short film directors and screenwriters, developed by Massimiliano Nardulli, Massimo D’orzi and Enrico Vannucci. Through both theoretical and practical training based on a successfully tested methodology, the selected filmmakers will be motivated to confront each other developing their respective short film projects over the course of five days.
The first confirmed workshop for 2021 will take place in the Cittadella dei Giovani di Aosta in the city of Aosta and will be dedicated to emerging directors and/or scriptwriters from the region. The intensive workshop is organised in collaboration with Fondazione Film Commission Vallée d’Aosta and will guide the participants to the creation of a fiction or hybrid short film.
For each workshop, one participant will be chosen by the tutors to ultimately attend the final session in Turin. This six-days long conclusive workshop in December will focus on building production strategies for each short film project and will lead up to a pitching session and one-to-one meetings with producers and industry professionals.
A prime objective of this final workshop is to create networks between Italian and European filmmakers coming from different backgrounds and other film professionals. Torino Short Film Market strongly believes that international networking can bring huge benefits to participants, as TSFM Word-Frame will be facilitating and accelerating not only the production and realisation of their work-in-progress projects, but also the promotion through festivals and broadcasting & online circuits.
Torino Short Film Market Vol. 6 is set to take place on-site and online from November 29th until December 10th, 2021. Accreditations are now open.
